Be assertive
I don’t know what happened but the original writing in this post got lost. It is somewhere on my hard driver so when I find it, I’ll post it.
However, something happened just now that I like to write about.
I just got a phone call from an Indian call center about a free seminar a make money fast “guru” is giving in Los Angeles next week. Even though I have no time, the first time someone called I said, email me the information. The next time I said, “Someone has already called from your office.”
Twice more they phoned when I was not home and left messages. So when they called just now, I assertively stooped the call center guy in the middle of sentence - I was not rude or aggressive as those are the polar opposite of assertiveness – I explained that this was the fifth time they had called me for this seminar and I had asked them to contact me by email and:
“Please write this down. Do not ever call me more than once. Thank you!”

I’m not giving out the name of the make money fast guy as I don’t believe bad mouthing anyone (I did that to someone I thought had scammed me and it was bad Karma for me as I believe in forgiveness), and I don’t want to give him nay more publicity but:
