Celebration makes it much better
This morning I wrote a post about giving yourself small goals and then celebrate once you have achieved the goal.
My goal was to write three blog posts before nine in the morning and I posted the last one at eight fifty eight and so clebrated by going for a short walk.
It was a walk that I had done many times before. I would normally go for this walk after working on the computer for about two hours (same time as I had done this morning). The difference was that I had a goal that I had achieved and this was my gift to myself.
As I was walking I noticed the birds singing much more than normal. I was pleased by the sunshine more than on other sunny Southern Californian autumn days. I was celebrating. It was just a matter of the change of attitude.
Later on I was walking in the Dana Point harbor and this again was a celebration for hitting a goal of writing a squidoo lens on why you should update your device drivers. Again this was better than normal and I saw a small miracle.
I don’t know if this is because I’m going through A Course in Miracles workbook at the moment or what. It definitely is because I had a great attitude today. I set goals and celebrated each time I reached a small goal. The interesting thing is that I could have done all the things I did today (writing the posts I did and going for the walks that I did) but without setting the goals my attitude would have been different…
No matter I’ll accept whatever fun, love, grace there is.
So change your attitude and notice a greatly improved life.
