Strategy not to gain weight

When you go to the restaurant remember the pretty pictures on the menu are designed to tempt you to those high calorie larger portion – larger profit foods. The chances are that when you go to the restaurant you are hungry which is the worst time to select your food.

So decide a good (less caloric) food beforehand when you are full. You may find the menu online or know the type of safe food you can eat at this type of restaurant – salads are always safe if you do not have too much dressing.

By the way if you wish to lose weight  avoid buffets. In a research study people ate one kind of food until they were satiated. Now a different kind of food was presented to them. They ate more of the second food even though they were already full.

Another excellent strategy to reduce your caloric input is to eat some filling but low calorie foods (plenty of fiber) before you go to a party.Remember that fiber has plenty of other health effects as well filling you up and keeping your weight down.

I drink a huge amount of fluid on a daily basis. I drink about six large cups of tea each day as well as drinking herb tea and plain water. When I would go to a party I would at time overdo drinking wine.

Later I discovered the problem was my habit of drinking a huge amount of good non-alcoholic drinks for health reasons. So it was my habit of drinking fast that was the problem. So now I drink plenty of water before I get to a party and when I am not the designated driver I drink at least one large non-alcoholic drink per glass of wine or beer I’m going to have. again drinking water instead of alcohol is a great way of consuming fewer calories and helping in your weight management efforts.

So to reduce your weight bulk up with water and fiber and do not be tempted by restaurant menus.

Of course, most importantly for your health. Drink no more than a single small alcoholic per one and a half hours drink if you happen to be the designated driver.
