Big brother is watching what you buy

Did you know that you buy too many fattening foods and your life insurance could go up or even be denied? Apparently supermarkets and pharmacies which give you discounts when you use their loyalty cards record all your buying habits in a database. If this was only used anonymously to give you more of what you wanted all would be well.

However, some are selling your information to life and health insurance companies which may then evaluate your rates based on what you buy. The best way to counter this is to not give your full name when registering for the loyalty cards.

Also note that some states use the transducers for tollroads to give speeding tickets. I don’t believe Californai does taht as I don’t know any fasttrack sensors with two successive ones. However, if you live in such a state you could pay cash now and then and use your transducer on other occassions or have multiple transducers and change them between toll booths.
