Eat the best foods to loose weight

When you show yourself that you are worth caring for you boost your self-esteem. I have mentioned many ways of doing this.

Today we wish to suggest you do it through what you eat. I recently heard someone say the reason junk food is so fattening is that since it has so little nourishment, we feel dissatisfied when we eat it and we have to eat a huge amount in order to get the needed nourishment and satisfaction.

In the Michelangelo Weight Management SystemTM we suggest you buy the most expensive food you can afford and eat it very slowly while enjoying it. We do not suggest that you spend any more money for your food, but suggest that by going for quality in stead of quantity you will decrease the calories you intake while increasing your satisfaction.

Today’s piece may be a start toward developing a new habit of eating much better and enjoying your food while lowering your weight and improving your health. It is interesting that weight loss when done right can be satisfying, fun, and permanent.

In fact the only way weight reduction may be permanent is when you change your behavior by making your eating habits satisfying. Diets do not work in the long run because they deprive you and turn you off. They are all about what you cannot eat rather than eating great good tasting food such as nuts, fruits, vegetables, and a little good healthy lean meat in correct proportions.

For today I wish to suggest you just enjoy a special treat in order to show yourself you are worth it and  to boost your self-esteem. Preferably choose a treat which is not high calorie, but even if your treat is sweet and full of fat, go for it and enjoy yourself, but choose a small portion.

When going to a restaurant you may want to eat the wonderful desert that you cannot get at home. However, it is best to share that desert with a friend or a loved one. Or have half now and take the other half home to have later on.

A most important aspect of today’s exercise is to enjoy your treat and have no guilt feelings about it. Eat slowly, appreciate and enjoy each bite and since you know you can have such treats every now and then you will not feel deprived at other times when you are eating your daily fare.
