Give yourself small goals
I’ll soon start a whole series on goal setting. This post is continuation of the idea of starting the day on a good footing.
If as soon as you wake up (or last thing at night before you go to sleep) you give yourself some small goals that you can do very early in the day, and you do the tasks successfully you will feel a success and gain self confidence and boost your self esteem.
My small goal for today is to write three short posts by 9:00 local time. It is 8:47 on mycomputer. I have already written two other posts:
And this post is the third post.
By the way this is an important aspect of goal setting – if you come within ten percent of achieving your goal call it a success, and celebrate your victory.
Also note that a life worth living is worth recording so write these small goals down and put a wonderful tick mark next to each part of the goal that you achieve. So far I have two beautiful tick marks and once I end this post I can celebrate even more by going for a short walk.
Note you can select whatever prize you want for the celebration. Selecting a good prize (like walking) is better than eating a chocolate bar. However, if you eat a chocolate bar that will do. The point is that you acknowledge your small victories. This will improve your self confidence and boost your self esteem and allow you achieve even bigger goals.
And oh yes I forgot since I wrote about it in the other blog. Each time you sdet a goal and achieve it your will power will improve.
