Pink light of unconditional love
As I have been going through A Course in Miracles workbook, I have been able to accept small upsets (traffic incidents and so on) so much easier.
However at times there are much larger upsets. There are times that you remember past negative events. you remember times that:
- you were neglected.
- you were passed over.
- you were insulted.
- you were cheated.
- you were defeated.
- you missed the mark.
- you did not do your best.
- you made a fool of yourself
The list is endless and gets longer on bad days – on the good days you remember your successes…
Basically we live mostly in the past and the rest of the time in the future (either worrying or looking forward to our dreams coming true). One of the biggest troubles with human life is that we are very, very rarely in the present moment.
You have heard of out of body experiences (OBE). It is as though we spend all of time in a deep OTE (out of time experience).

One great way to overcome the effects of negative self talk and living in the past (in reality all negative self talk comes from the OTE – if you live in this moment, in the eternal now you just are and have no prejudgments to cause you talk bad about yourself or others) is to forgive and cover the situation (in your imagination) in pink light.
The way you do it is that when you become aware of negative thoughts (don’t do this part while driving a car) close your eyes and center yourself by taking a few deep breaths and then imagine a pink light representing total forgiveness and unconditional love for all coming from your heart (actually its your heart Chakra which is at the center of your chest at the same height as your physical height – this is the symbolic heart that the poets and mystics talk about) and covering the person and the situation.
A very short time is enough to make you love and forgive the situation and free yourself from the doubts and thoughts of failure.
