Start each day on a positive note

Yesterday I wrote on how I did not believe in [tag]New Year’s resolutions[/tag]. Also they say however you start the new year is an indication of the coming year. However, I do believe in each morning’s resolution. And the resolution is to have a wonderful day and improve some aspect of your life. Take one step large or small toward more success, peace, happiness and self improvement.

Thus I believe it is important to start the day on a positive note. You can do it in many ways. I always start each day by brushing my teeth in the bathroom and while I’m brushing my teeth I look at my reflection in the mirror and smile and thank God. This starts my day on a real [tag]positive note[/tag].

I make sure on day a week I get up early in the morning so I can meditate and go to the gym first thing in the morning. Today was one of these days. I woke up at 3:35 a.m. and went to the bathroom and did my rootine of smiling and having an attitude of gratitude. As I was waking up and drinking some cups of tea (I for one need caffein at 4:00 a.m. to get up and go to the gym) I worked on internet. Then I meditated and left for the gym at 5:00.

The people who go to the gym first thing in the morning are a different kind. We are all there to get fit and know a lot of each other since it is mostly the same people. After exercising I went to the Sauna and talked to some friends and when I came home I shaved and got dressed in good clothes even though I plan at this moment to work from home.

This is important. When you respect yourself and freshen your face and your looks you feel better and get into a [tag]wonderful cycle[/tag] which is what I term the opposite of [tag]vicious cycle[/tag]. The whole point about starting the day positively is to get into such a wonderful cycle.

I wrote about my morning today not to turn some people off since we have different physiologies and some people like me are morning persons and others are not. All I ask you is to take one positive step first thing in the morning.  And then continue taking more little positive steps.

I’ll write about the importance of the attitude of gratitude. I just want to remember something wonderful that happened to me this morning. As I left the gym in a relaxed mood, my blood full of endorphins, I saw my wondrful car (it’s a 2000 model so it’s not exactly new). As I was walking to the car I was so happy to be the owner of the car. In fact I was thinking about envy. I’ll write a post about good envy and that is be envious of yourself. For a moment I imagined I was jealous of whoever owned that wonderful car and then I felt so happy that person was me.

I mentioned that I worked first thing in the morning. I produced these commercial site where you can buy people’s unwanted gift cards at a slight discount. The discount is not great for the major stores but you can get a bargain if you look and also given the current economic situation any saving is great:
