Ten simple positive ways of reducing your weight through changing your eating habits
- Eat a large breakfast, smaller lunch, and tiny supper. They say eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and supper like pauper.
- Use smaller size dishes. The dishes they use in Europe are smaller than those used in the USA.
- Drink plenty of water. Especially drink an extra glass of water 20 minutes before each meal. The physical fullness of the stomach contribute to the feeling of satiety.
- Take a little good oils 20 minutes before each meal. These are vegetable or fish oils full of poly and mono unsaturated fatty acids.
- Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Full of fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
- Eat slower. It takes twenty minutes for your brain register you have had enough food to eat.
- Eat more oatmeal or other whole grains.
- Eat low glycemic index foods. This is very important in weight loss and weight management.
- Smell a food essence a few times 20 minutes before each meal. Smell is one of the strongest clues the brain has about food satisfaction in quality as well as quantity.
- Enjoy your food more by eating mindfully.
