Walking by the water for Chi

Large bodies of water (oceans, seas, lakes, large ponds, rivers, stream) are great sources of bio-energy. This is called Prana, Chi, Orgon and other terms in different wisdom traditions. When one walks by a large body of water one absorbs this energy and feels good, improves ones immune system and health in general.

I am near the end of a news fast. I am not to watch, listen to, read any news for twenty four hours. See the category on fasting for this and other fasts. One good thing about fasts are that they force you to be aware of and change your habits. I would normally go to the gym this afternoon and watch CNN while exercising but today I am on that news fast so I could not go to the gym.

Instead, I went for a walk in the Dana Point harbor next to the Ocean. I was very happy and was smiling all the time. One way or other I showed others walking that I was pleased to see them. At times I would say hi at other times I would just smile or nod my head.

It felt good to be among other people. There were lots of folks with their dogs. Now, I am a cat person but I love all animals especially dogs so long as they are other people’s dogs. So it was great fun seeing all these wonderful people with their beautiful dogs.

But I had most fun when I observed old couples walking together or seeing one old couple siting in their car reading books. I was touched since my wife and I were doing the same last night next to our fireplace.

The point is go for a walk near a body of water and smile, have fun, and receive the Chi. Your body, mind, soul, spirit which is in reality one and is the real you will thank you.

This is an old post brought over from a defunct blog. As piece of synchronicity I have started a news fast today, and cannot go to the gym. I was not planing to go walking by the ocean today – although I did so yesterday. I’m about to go walking by grass and that has lots of Prana, Chi, Orgon too. It is best to walk barefoot on grass to absorb the Chi but the park I go to is the place local dog owners bring their dogs to walk so I’ll not walk barefoot.
