Aaron L. Goldberg

Aaron Goldberg specializes in substance misuse and substance use disorder. He has significant experience working in medication-assisted treatment for individuals addressing and overcoming opioid abuse.
He also works with clients with anger, anxiety, and depression, as well as with individuals living with chronic illness, and with couples experiencing intimate partner violence, and with parents with challenging children.
Aaron shares, “As the step-parent of a grown adult, I have real-world life experience with the unique challenges faced by step-parents, as well as parenting a gifted child with ADHD. I appreciate and understand parents on the journey of raising challenging children and teens.”
His evidence-based approach is non-judgmental therapy, anchored by unconditional positive regard, empathy and patience. He understands that the journey through life often has complex challenges. Aaron employs several therapeutic modalities including Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Aaron actively practices the values of Life Focus Center: “We work together, collaboratively, to find ‘Effective Solutions for Life’s Challenges.’”
Aaron obtained his B.A. in political science at UCLA and his MSW at USC School of Social Work. He has more than six years of clinical experience with adults throughout all stages of their lives.
